The rich rust red glaze on this salad bowl has a satiny smooth texture. Intentionally "chattered" marks were made with a special tool onto the lower outside surface during the making to create a textural contrast. "Chatter" marks have a roughed-up texture that is good for getting a grip while passing this bowl at table or hand washing it in slippery suds. This is a great-sized bowl at 9" across x 5" tall.
