Based on the idea of an old clay oil bottle, but taken in a different direction, here is my next Chanukah menorah. Right now it has handles propped with sponges, and no decoration except the form itself. It’s radical how the piece will change with surface color and decoration. First, the idea, which I drew different ways till I came to this one (complete with clay smudges). Then the piece itself, in progress. I took out the little oil bottle as a shamash in the center top. I removed the idea of stamping flowers (might be good for another one).
Everything is a work in progress. Life, too.
